This book contains the further adventures of Lina and Gourry (in Japanese!) |
The aforementioned manga in English! |
Contains pictures and plot reviews from the movie. Also has a picture of Gourry, Lina and Naga! (Gourry's holding a sign that unfortunately I can't read....) |
The second movie book, and as always it has a section covering the movie, character art, and even an article on a convention in Japan! (There were even Naga cosplayers, and their outfits were really good!) |
Another book containing pics and the basic storyline for one of the best (or just plain silly!) Slayers movies! |
This nifty little book has a little bit of everything from episode reviews (1-9), plenty of screen shots, plus character concept art. |
This book continues where the other left off, with episodes 10-18, a section for different spells, and more concept art for the rest of the cast (Amelia!) |
The last contains the rest of the episodes (19-26), plus has character bios for the main cast. (Always good to know characters' ages, blood type, etc.. ^_-) |
Contains episodes 1-3, also has a character section for Lina, plus minor characters (like the king of Xoana, Amelia's horse, etc., etc.) |
Contains episodes 4-7, plus a character section for Gourry. |
Contains episodes 8-11, also has a character section for Zelgadis, plus Amelia's relatives and a few Mazoku. |
Contains episodes 12-15, also has a character section for Amelia. |
Contains episodes 16-19, plus a character section for Xellos, character concept art for Brass Racquets and dressing in drag (^_^), and Gaav! |
Contains episodes 20-23, also has character sections for Sylphiel, Martina, Zangulus, Phibrizzo, dragons, and Phibrizzo's "lackie!" (I'm not giving it away!) |
Contains episodes 24-26, plus what I think is interviews with the VA's (I need to learn more Japanese!) |
Finally a chance to enjoy the show when you aren't watching television! (It helps to be able to read Japanese...) This one contains episodes 1-4. |
Continuing where the first left off, the second comic book contains episodes 5-9. |
The third installment contains episodes 10-13. |
Again, the fourth contains episodes 14-18. |
The fifth book contains episodes 19-22. |
Finally, the sixth (and last) book contains episodes 23-26. |
An episode guide for episodes 1-8! Also includes character pages for Lina, Gourry, Zelgadis, Amelia, and Xellos. |
The continuation of episodes 9-18. Includes (separated) pages for Filia and Xellos! |
Contains episode 19-26. Also has a section for Jillas, plus concept art for Valgaav, Filia, Jillas, and Almayce! |
An art book containing art from the original illustrator for Slayers, Rui Araizumi, plus information on all of the Slayers (Naga too!) |
The title says everything, doesn't it? This book contains nothing but artwork from Rui Araizumi, be it basic concept art, or pictures from the Slayers novels. |
The third art book from Rui Araizumi (I love his style!) It even has a few pics with Martina, Filia, and Valgaav! |
Yes! I finally got a hold of this so now I have something of a better idea of what the movie was about. (This is too cool!) I'll be really happy when they translate this, and maybe bring the movie out here as well. Anyway, quick summary: Lina and Gourry travel to a coastal city that's being plagued by octopi. There they meet up with Amelia and Zelgadis, but then Gourry, Amelia and Zelgadis can only speak in Octopus! (It's really odd.) Xellos shows up as well. Will Lina and her flustered friends be able to overthrow the bad guys? (Heck no, I'm not telling!) |
This book is for the 30 minute movie (I still laugh over that) and is chock full of character information, stills from the movie, lyrics for 'feel well', and interviews (plus pictures) of the cast. Even if you can't read Japanese, it's still a pretty cool book to have. |
This officially came out in May, but I only recently found this (July 1st!) Finally the beginning is revealed, and it's not a very good one for Lina and Gourry, either! To summarize: Lina and Gourry, still traveling together, are put to the task of destroying a giant crystal. After doing so, the duo is attacked by a huge dragon! Lina is separated from Gourry, only to be stuck with the quick-tempered Lyos. With Lyos as her guide, Lina travels about the strange new land she finds herself in, and yes, is reunited with Gourry! (This manga goes as far as the January chapter as seen on the Manga Scans page.) |
The gang is sent into the mountains to get rid of a white dragon, though after finding out he is friendly, they prep him to fight against a blue dragon. |
The gang encounters Lemi, a young girl who likes to collect and name her swords (she's also in the Slayers game for the Super Famicom!) |
Again the gang meets a girl who can summon and command zombies. The only problem is that she's afraid of the zombies, so the gang tries to help her get past her fears. |
The fourth adventure after the first series involving the gang being drawn to a cave by none other than Sylphiel! (She wanted to be with Gourry-alone! Very upsetting for Lina!) They face off against Vrumugun, Zangulus, and "Spot." (It's really Dilgear!) |
The background music for the first season, including Lina and Gourry's themes. (Very cool!) |
More background music, including Sylphiel, Amelia, and Zelgadis' themes, Amelia's "The World's Greatest Victory", and even a small drama. |
I haven't figured this one out... |
What's this? Cannie thinks that Lina murdered her brother! But who is that mysterious man? Time to find out! |
The third adventure after the end of NEXT. I haven't quite figured it out, except that the gang gets caught up in forbidden love... |
The gang's all reunited! We have Sylphiel, Zangulus, Vrumugun, Dilgear, and Miwan, and...oh dear! (Run, Zelgadis!) |
Includes background music from NEXT, plus Martina's character song. |
More music, plus Zelgadis's character song, and Lina and Amelia's "Otomi No Inori". |
Yet more music, Sylphiel's and Xellos' character songs. |
Background music from TRY, also remixes of the opening and closing songs. |
More background songs, plus Valgaav's "Waru-Bad Blood" (Only Lonely Soldier) in English, Lina's "Exit Running" (NEVER NEVER GIVE UP) also in English, and Filia's "Somewhere" in Japanese! |
Two CD's containing all of the opening and closing songs for the series and extras, plus remixes of character songs. Also has "Slayers for the Future" (a personal favorite!) |
The background and vocal music for the Slayers OVA's, known as the "Book of Spells" in America. |
I finally figured out where Shining Girl and "A Rival Conceals Her Claws" (or whatever it's called) are from! Midnight Blue is also on here. Now I just need to rewatch the movie so I'll recognize the instrumentals... |
The soundtrack for the second Slayers movie released in Japan. |
At last, I have this soundtrack!! (I've been hunting it down for months.) Most of the BGM's on here are similar to the other Slayers movies, but each soundtrack has unique character songs. |
The soundtrack for the most recent movie released in Japan (1998). |
This soundtrack is the first to be housed in a slim CD case (with lots of pretty pictures!), and it has 6 tracks: feel well, Runba Runba, and Luma's song about octopuses. The last 3 songs are the karaoke tracks for the songs. All in all, a nifty CD. |
Yay! I finally managed to get some of these! (Not an easy task as they're no longer in print.) The cards include characters, a spell index, monster list, etc. |
Includes many character cards, special cards, and...Couple cards! |
Another card set that's hard to get, these are for an actual card game, similar to Pokemon and Magic (sort of...) They include info from the novels, manga, and anime, and have awesome artwork! If only they'd release this card game here in the states... |
Gasp! They finally released American merchandise! These cards are actually pretty cool (as far as American goods go) because they have a summary for the first season of Slayers, told from Lina's point of view! Support Slayers in America, and maybe we'll get more! ^_^ |
I didn't even know these existed! These cards contain scene cards, spell cards, chroma cards, etc. for the Slayers ROYAL game. CUTE! |
After months of looking, I finally managed to get this cel of Amelia! It's from the first season mere seconds before Amelia jumps off a cliff to help Lina. |
A nice cel of Lina and Gourry taking a breather between battles (or so says the certificate.) |
I got this as a freebie when I got the (Remastered) Slayers DVD collection from an online site. (A very nice gift!) Lina and Co. battle it out with the worst of the Dark Lords! |
Yep, I've even managed to get the video games for Slayers! ROYAL is pretty cool with the movies, the voice actors, and of course the spells! |
I haven't had much of a chance to play this one, but it's a continuation of ROYAL. |
This is my favorite of the three as it's style looks like the anime (ROYAL looks like the movies) and the battles are easier to control. |
A handy thing to have around, as it's really easy to get stuck when you aren't fluent in Japanese! Thank goodness for maps. ^_^ |
This will be the most helpful of all! The game has 'real time' where about every minute or so it can be morning, day, or night. It makes for an even more complicated game because events only happen during certain times of day. |
Considering I got stuck in the very first city, this should help me figure out just what Amelia wants Lina (me) to do! |
Hey, check out the cool pin that was given to me! The only problem is - I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO PIN IT TO! |
Yay! Finally our little princess joins the ranks! Beware that fist of hers... |
Wow, even Naga has come to join! What would her sister think? ^_- |
Everyone's favorite short-tempered (and no-legged? o_O) sorcery genius is here! Now where did.... |
Ah! There's Gourry, Lina's self-proclaimed bodyguard! And look: he even totes the Sword of Light! |
Somebody doesn't look too happy to be here! Perhaps he misses a certain dragon priestess? (The tormenting of, that is! ^_-) |
This cute little "novelty" was a freebie (not that I got it for free...) when Japanese moviegoers saw Slayers Gorgeous (not yet out here!) She even talks! |
Yep, I got another pin of Zelgadis, but this one is from TRY. He finally has legs! (And looks like a little star person...) |
How could I compliment my TRY Zelgadis pin without the Amelia TRY pin? |
Yes! I finally have merchandise from the most recent Slayers movie! (If you consider a 30 minute flick a movie..) I can't wait to see Slayers Premium! |
This was an insert into the December issue of Dragon Junior (an offshoot of Dragon Magazine containing all of the manga from said magazine), for the newest Slayers manga: Knight of the Aqua Lord. The back says, "I'm Lina Inverse. One day I was swept out to the ocean for some reason. When I woke up, I was somewhere I don't even know and I even strayed away from Gourry. I was helped by little brat...I'm so sick and tired of it... I'll start my new adventure, battle, meeting and farewell in the first experience of the world that I never been." |
I never knew they had stuff like this! (I only have it because a friend got this -among many other rarities- on Yahoo! Japan, but you'll need connections to bid there, as it's only for Japanese bidders. They have some really awesome stuff there that we may never get over here.) |
I'm not quite sure what to do with this, but the SD cast is adorable! I may modify it somewhat to hang on my door, scaring people off (with Xellos' side) when I'm trying to sleep! ^_- |
Yet another set of Lina and Naga. The pins are actually what the load screen looks like in the game (it flashes different characters, although I've yet to see Zelgadis' picture. It must be rigged!) |
Friends are cool. I got this as an added incentive for going insane sewing a costume for my friend. I just don't know if I want to use it or not! |
I still need to translate what this says, but it's cute nonetheless! (Danke schon again, CG!) |
This thing is huge, or shall I say heavy? It's definitely a cool piece of merchandise, but yet again I'm torn whether I should use it or not. (Next merchandise is pretty hard to come by anymore as it is!) |
This movie is my personal favorite of the Slayers movies (although I haven't seen one of them yet...) |
This particular pencil board is somewhat see-through, making for a very cool looking pencil board! |
Gee, this picture looks familiar...(see the Medieval Mayhem book.) |
Yes! At last Lina joins the group. But what's this?! Lina's looking at wedding dresses?!? |
Yep, that's Gourry even if he is wearing the "modern" style. I wonder who he's waiting to go to the movies with? ^_^ |
Amelia enjoys the city far above the streets, except this time she's not precariously perched on a pole! ^_- |
My sister and I like to joke about Zelgadis being drunk and in the gutter. Poor Zelgadis... |
Xellos knows how to live in style! Even if he looks like he's spitting in his wine... ^_- |
This is my favorite of the TRY PB's. The whole gang takes a small break on the grass... |
This pencil board look a lot like any other movie poster you'd see, even if it's for a t.v. series! |
Pretty pieces 'o plastic featuring the TRY commercial breaks with Lina and Gourry. |
Same as above featuring Amelia and Zelgadis. |
This is a two-in-one deal: Filia and Xellos on one side, Val (and I DO mean Val!) and Gaav on the other. |
I've been searching for this one for a long time! May I present you with the couple pencil boards... |
This is one of my favorite pencil boards! If you haven't already guessed, this couple is my favorite! ^_^ |
I'm not sure what to think of this one because I've also seen official Slayers artwork putting Filia with Valgaav. Go figure... |
I find it odd that the others get to be in couples (and I mean "two people" nothing more), and yet Xellos gets to be by himself! This is one of the more difficult boards to get, but I'm glad to have it. (Mostly so I can say I have all 4 of the TRY pencil boards. Xellos does nothing for me.) |
Yet another pencil board that I've been searching forever for, and I finally have! I love this picture, but especially the back picture! Too bad it isn't in color... |
This one has got to be even rarer than the others, considering how new it is. I had to search for quite a while to find this one. (Even then, it was only sold to me out of desperation.) Looks like everybody's happy to have 'work' again. ^_- |
I never even intended to collect phone cards (there are so many!), but I'm not going to refuse them either. Enter the scariness... |
This one is adorable! Lina and Naga chatting on the telephone! (A fitting picture for a phone card.) |
This is a two-card set for the Slayers Gorgeous movie. One has to wonder if people ever actually USE these, or just collect them... |
I'm guessing this one was a promo, considering it has a piece of cardboard attached to it. (It came with my Slayers Premium pamphlet, so who knows?) |
I really like this picture, too. (When I saw this piece 'o merchandise in the Premium pamphlet, I had to have it! Thank goodness for friends.) I think it illustrates the relationship between Lina and Amelia pretty well. ^_- |
