Eris, Zangulus, and Vrumugun

Eris

Little is known about Eris, except the fact that she was the one who placed the bounties on Lina, Gourry, and Zelgadis. Before the resurrection of Shabranigdo, Eris travelled around with Rezo and aided him in proforming miracles. She was in love with him and she felt helplessly awful for the blind man who had been tragically trapped in darkness for so long. She was heartbroken when he left her to begin the search for his last hope: the Philosopher's stone. Eris dedicated her life to Rezo's revenge after the word of his death was out. One part of her plan was making a copy of the original Rezo, but he betrayed her after he gained control of the demon beast Zanaffar (or should I say when Zanaffar gained control over Copy Rezo). He kills her with a blast of power through the back and, felling foolish and rejected, dies to her last words: "Lord Rezo, where have you gone?..."

Zangulus

Zangulus was hired by Eris to capture Lina and Gourry. He worked with Vrumugun, who was actually a copy the whole time. Zangulus felt he was the greatest swordsman alive being equipped with the demonic Howling Sword, a sword created especially for him by Rezo. When he heard about Gourry, he knew that if he could defeat him in a sword fight, he would truely be the best. Although Gourry beat him fair and square, Zangulus still desired to battle him, which is the reason he appeared in NEXT. Although Zangulus is mostly a "lone wolf", he ended up marrying Martina and became the new King of Xoana.

Vrumugun

Vrumugun seems to have absolutely no sense of humor and is completely serious in everything he does. He, too, is hired by Eris to capture Lina and Gourry. He is a sorcerer and specializes in black magic. Although Vrumugun looks normal, he is actually a copy of the original Vrumugun. The real Vrumugun is seen, though; he attends Zangulus' wedding and is seen giving applause to the newly weds. He is also featured in the 4th Slayers Extra.
