Jillas and Gravos

Jillas

One of Valgaav's minions, Jillas follows the orders of Gravos. He is well known for using explosives and guns. His eye patch is a reminder of the time when his little village was ambushed. All of his friends, neighbors, and family were killed. He had lost his eye, was suffering a wound made in his shoulder by an arrow, and was left to die, but Valgavv appeared before him and made Jillas an offer of survival: the basic "I will save you if you will serve me". Being the only survivor of the attack, he accepted and began serving his new master. Later on in TRY, Valgaav is killed or missing, and Jillas follows Lina and the gang around seeking revenge, but he ends up getting attached to Filia, the golden dragon. At the end of NEXT, he stays with Filia after Lina and the others depart from her, and he helps her run her mace and vase shop along with Gravos.

Gravos

The same thing happened to Gravos as it did to Jillas; he, too, was attacked and left to die injured and bleeding on the forest floor. Valgaav popped in again and offered to help him. Gravos began to serve Valgaav, helping him fulfill his wishes. Unfortunately, in episode 10 of TRY, Gravos is blown into orbit (literally!) by Lina's Dragon Slave and isn't seen again til the end of the series, where he and Jillas assist Filia with her shop.
