Valgaav

Valgaav is a very violent and vengeful character; but he has his reasons. As Val, he was an Ancient dragon, dragons almost 1,000 times stronger than golden dragons. Due to such power, they were feared by the other races until the golden dragons completely eliminated his race. Val was injured and dieing when who should show up but the Demon Dragon King Gaav. Gaav was threatening to Val, and when transforming, he was unsuccessful and lay down helplessly. He expected to be killed by Gaav, but Gaav had other plans; he offered to satisfy Val's lust for revenge if Val excepted to serve him. Gaav explained that Val would die, but be reborn again as half-Mazoku/half-Ancient dragon. Val accepted, and where upon being stabbed, Gaav said, "You will be called Valgaav!" The horn on his head is because of the Mazoku half in him.

In NEXT, Gaav is killed and Valgaav feels it's Lina's fault. He strives to get revenge upon Lina by trying killing her. When times got rough for him, he tried to transform into a dragon, but only his arms and wings revealed themselves. To his surprise, it was very painful because of the Mazoku half in him. Later he is killed by the dark lord Dark Star, but at the end of TRY, he is once again reborn as a full blood Ancient dragon and put in the care of Filia.
